Our History

Founded in 2000 by António Reis, an Angolan economist, and Jaqueline Reis, a British citizen with extensive agricultural expertise, Grupo Reis began its journey as Angola’s largest flower farm, located in Lubango, Huila Province. Leveraging their experience in cultivating diverse fruit varieties, they established a robust foundation in agricultural excellence.

Following a successful period abroad in the United Kingdom, the founders returned to Angola in 2017 with a renewed strategic vision. Transitioning from primary agriculture into the dynamic field of grain and agricultural byproduct trading, the company positioned itself commercially to meet evolving market demands.

In 2019, Grupo Reis further strengthened its commitment to innovation by launching pioneering research and development initiatives in southern Angola, especially in Ondjiva, Cunene Province. Here, they maintain a dedicated nursery focused on experimenting with various fruit trees and indigenous species.

Guided by a vibrant and globally-minded young leadership team, Grupo Reis has adopted international standards of corporate governance, becoming a significant and influential player in the SADC region. Their continued dedication to innovation, sustainable agriculture, and community growth reinforces their position as a leading force in the agricultural sector.
